As part of the renovation of the Jules Verne elementary school, the City of Évry-Courcouronnes needed to ensure continuous student accommodation throughout the works. Awarded Lot No. 10 "modular schools" under the renovation contract, ATEMCO manufactured off-site and then installed a temporary 40-module two-storey school complex, positioned directly in the school playground.
The building, compliant with public-access building (ERP) standards and RT2012 thermal regulations, includes classrooms served by interior and exterior staircases as well as a PRM access ramp. Mounted on screw piles to preserve the playground surface, it was craned and assembled during the summer holidays and delivered in time for the September 2022 back-to-school start. Following the operational phase, the modules were relocated in summer 2023—demonstrating the reversibility and reusability inherent to ATEMCO modular construction. Engineered for the daily requirements of students, teachers, and technical staff, the layout prioritizes clear circulation, user comfort, and equipment durability.
Off-site factory prefabrication guarantees high-precision build quality while significantly minimizing on-site intervention time.
